Cyprus Museum

This is the most interesting museum of the island and hosts the best collection of archaeological artifacts from Cyprus. Main points include terracotta figurines found in 1929 in Agia Irina, in the northern part of Morfou (Güzelyurt).

Another main attraction is a group of 3 lei of lime and 2 sfincsi found in necropolisul Tamassos southern Lefkosiei in 1997. Dating from 475-400 before Christ, they show a strong Egyptian influence.

The 2000 figures from Agia Irina, dating from the 7 and 6 before Christ, are arranged exactly as they were found: in a semicircular shape. Besides the 2 figures with all forms female figurines are men, most warriors. What war deification indicate a warrior god, perhaps a centaur or minotaur.
