Chesley B. Sullenberger has America at his feet: he saved from death all passengers on a plane that crashed.

An Airbus A320 plane of U.S. Airways, with over 150 passengers on board, collapsed Thursday evening in the Hudson River waters, near New York, after it hit a flock of birds.

What seemed at first as a tragedy of proportions but had a happy unknot education: all 150 passengers and five crew members managed to escape with life. The pilot Chesley B. Sullenberger III, who managed a forced landing, which seemed virtually impossible, was praised by the authorities and turned into a hero of press overseas.
